After all the excitement of the holidays, family get togethers, friends hanging out, and OMG the food!! And now all we have are frigid temps and grey skies. The one thing we all know living here in Minnesota is that this season will pass! But how do we get through it? It's important to take the time to take care of yourself. Find what makes you happy...Is it reading, sewing, walking, listening to music, watching you tube videos, a little retail therapy....Whatever it may be, make sure to take care of YOU! If you don't, you will be no good to anyone else either.
Sometimes in January you hear all the "New Year, New You" and things like that. It is a new beginning yes, however, is this the time to put pressure on ourselves to make big changes? I mean we're stuck inside, not as active as we'd like, and we want to make big changes and it's nearly impossible. So now you're beating yourself up! When you were set up to fail even before you started. Don't fall into that trap! You can always set goals for yourself. It doesn't have to be at "the new year". Instead take a break and love yourself. Take a long bath, read that extra 20 minutes, or whatever it may be. Set a timer to do things for yourself, make the time for self care. We are important!!
If retail therapy is something that makes you happy or you're just feeling lost and want to be around people, PLEASE stop in! Have a glass of wine, visit with us, browse around. That doesn't mean you have to buy anything! We've worked really hard to create an environment that is peaceful, fun, rewarding and friendly for every single person who comes through our door. We have the priviledge of helping you shop and get to know you. This is not something we take lightly. The women who work at The Boutique Station love to help you feel your best. So many times a day we hear, "maybe when I lose 10 lbs I'll shop for jeans" or whatever. Don't wait. Dress the body you have. Bodies flucuate. You are allowed to have different sizes in your closet. Don't put those rules on yourself just to make yourself feel bad. So stop in and let us know how you're doing. We love to catch up with you. A little retail therapy may be just what the doctor ordered. Come in....Never any judgement here. We are here to help build each other up. xoxo
